In January, I lost my sense of taste and smell after being exposed to a virus. My kids had a slight cough that resolved quickly with homeopathic remedies. I only experienced headaches and fatigue, which is typical for me. I rarely get sick.

A few days later, I lost my sense of taste and smell. This has happened to me a few times since 2020, and each time it took two weeks for my senses to return. This time it only took three days to restore my sense of taste and smell because of cell salts.

Years ago, I read a post about using cell salts to restore the sense of taste and smell. I tried using the recommended cell salts once, but it did not help. I only took a few doses, and I wasn’t consistent. The three cell salts recommended were Natrum sulph 6x, Nat mur 6x, and Kali sulph.

Instead of using Nat mur 6x, I used the following combination: Natrum sulph 6x, Calc sulph 6x, and Kali sulph 6x. I chose these cell salts based on information I learned in a cell salt class. The sulphur cell salts are indicated at the end of an illness to clear up congestion.

I was relieved to regain my sense of taste and smell so quickly.

If the loss of taste and smell persists for a long time, I recommend consulting with a homeopath.
